Ones you've been to, ones you're going to, ones you'd love to go to, ones you'd love to have gone to. And yes, I'm just sorry that the music board has yet to get its own original thread...
My favourites up 'til now were The Pogues (x2), Christy Moore and Damien Dempsey(x2). Probably the best gig I ever went to was Christy Moore and Damien Dempsey on the night I finished that big aul' summer quiz, that kicked ass (even though Dempsey was better on his own).
Upcoming are U2 and Bruce Springsteen, which I'm looking forward to an insane amount.
I haven't all that many bands I desperately want to see live - U2 and The Boss were the two big ones I was waiting to knock off the list. That said, I would've loved to have seen Johnny Cash play, if we're talking hypotheticals, and The Counting Crows have been on my list for quite a while too.
Disappointing gigs I've been too are thankfully relatively few - The White Stripes played for no more than an hour, and never really got out of the traps - luckily I didn't pay for the tickets. I also didn't really enjoy Picturehouse all that much, looking back, although because it was the first gig I ever went to I still have kinda fond memories of it.
Other honourable mentions go to The Police, who were good and a little disappointing in equal measure, and REM who were the same (funnily enough, the only two gigs I ever went to with Niall Magee).
