Where I go this summer largely depends on where my accountant will let me go, so I don't want to commit just yet.

Following a review of the Bellagio's no under-21s policy, I'm postponing our trip until we've all come of age.
I'm thinking of leaving booking anything to the absolute last minute, so as we can take advantage of one of the utterly silly-ily cheap deals that seem to be flying all over the shop at the moment. Vegas for €500 might not suit, but no reason we couldn't find something equally good value somewhere else. In the meantime, I'm just hoping I actually get a job this summer...

We could wait until next December and go away then. Conall's mum went to the Caribbean or some similarly exotic place around then for next to nothing, thanks to some ludicrous deal.

Now that's not a bad plan. Especially consdering I'll be otherwise occupied all summer anyway.

Realistically though, are you going to not be busy come December, Aonghus?

Busy, yes. Abroad, less likely!

I don't want to have to fly to England on my tobler!

I read that as saying "I don't want to fly to England for my tobler", to which I was about to reply "They've got Toblerones in Ireland too, Caoimhe"...

Well I know now that you're not that bad. But I previously had my doubts.

I'd like to hope that Kweeva was at least intelligent enough to go to Switzerland for her Tobler-hits...

AHAHAHA! How dumb and chocolate-crazed do you think I am? Well you did use Cockney rhyming slang for no apparent reason

Rats. I've been talking to my brothers too much.
What would be a legitimate reason for using rhyming cockney slang then?

The only one I can think of off the top of my head is if you were on that episode of QI where there were bonus points going for answering in rhyming slang, but I'm pretty sure that doesn't apply to anyone here. I'm open to the possibility that there may be others, but I can't think of any off hand. Anyone else have any ideas?

As far as I know, cockney rhyming slang was invented by London merchants in order to allow them to speak to each other without customers,or indeed policemen, knowing what they were on about. I could be wrong though.

So being a London Merchant back in the fogs of time is an acceptable reason too. Anything else?

I got an e-mail from some studenty thing I'm signed up for about working in a summer camp in America. You get flights reimbursed, and obviously board and lodgings plus pay. After watching Wet Hot American Summer I'm seriously thinking about doing it next year, spending a bit of time travelling around the States/Canada after. Thoughts? And please don't say "but you won't be 21".

Studenty thing? Why wasn't I informed?

Well for one you never check your e-mails. Although I think this was a student travel card link which I followed and led on to the summer camp thing, I'm not sure. Could have been the same company that was offering J1s (not USIT, the other crowd)?
