I propose that plans to combat the drastically falling rates of posting be posted in this thread. That is if anyone cares enough to actually post in this thread

Well I've no idea what we can do. I got Conall to sign up, but I doubt he's coming back. I think a lot of people we know just aren't suited or used to the whole forum life-style (because posting on a forum does have to be a routine type thing if you're to get the most out of it).

Maybe if the moderators would stop deleting entire threads.......... the situation would turn round. Incidentally there should be a thread where we just stick it to the moderators. You approve, Rob? Diarmuid? Tom?

Well to be fair I think the only thread which was deleted in its entirety was the Family Guy one, and I think Rob pretty much got the message that people didn't really appreciate his opinions on that one.

As for a thread where we (you) stick it to the moderators, I thought the karma system was sticking it to me and Rob fairly well as it was. If you feel like starting the thread I won't object, although I may start a thread sticking it to the members and there's no way that's gonna end nicely.

I will admit that yesterday, I very foolishly activated a 'delete posts older than 30 days' thing and I think that may have deleted some classic stuff that I didn't want it to. I'll be careful not to do that, again.

You have my permission (and you didn't really need it anyway) to make an anti-moderator thread where you can wreak all the havoc you want and call us all names.

Although if that does happen I'm gonna start an anti-user thread, and post all sorts of hurtful things that'll allow me to once again compete with Rob on the karma front.

Oh yeah, I meant to say in this other thread: There's no such thing as noobs where 534 is one of the highest post counts.

Since when is there a minimum top post count for someone else to be considered a noob? The thing you have to remember is that this started out as a virtual form of whoever's front room we happened to be in. So Tom has thousands of real-life posts as well as his 500 virtual posts. Hence him calling noobs noobs.

And I'm just pointing out that there isn't really much of a post-gap between noobs and non-noobs when the highest post count is 534.

On a group of beautiful deserted islands in the middle of nowhere, the following people are stranded:

- two Italian men and one Italian woman
- two French men and one French woman
- two German men and one German woman
- two Greek men and one Greek woman
- two English men and one English woman
- two Bulgarian men and one Bulgarian woman
- two Japanese men and one Japanese woman
- two Chinese men and one Chinese woman
- two American men and one American woman
- two Irish men and one Irish woman

One month later on these absolutely stunning deserted islands in the middle of nowhere, the following things have occurred:

*One Italian man killed the other Italian man for the Italian woman.

*The two French men and the French woman are living happily together in a menage-a-trois.

*The two German men have a strict weekly schedule of alternating visits with the German woman.

*The two Greek men are sleeping with each other and the Greek woman is cleaning and cooking for them.

*The two English men are waiting for someone to introduce them to the English woman.

*The two Bulgarian men took one long look at the endless ocean and another long look at the Bulgarian woman and started swimming.

*The two Japanese men have faxed Tokyo and are awaiting instructions.

*The two Chinese men have set up a pharmacy/liquor/ convenience store/restaurant/laundry, and have gotten the woman pregnant in order to supply employees for their store.

*The two American men are contemplating the virtues of suicide, because the American woman keeps on complaining about her body, the true nature of feminism, how she can do everything they can do, the necessity of fulfillment, the equal division of household chores, how sand and palm trees make her look fat, how her last boyfriend respected her opinion and treated her nicer than they do, all the sales she's missing, how her relationship with her mother is improving, and how at least the taxes are low and it isn't raining. The American woman, meanwhile, watches the men fart and scratch.

*The two Irish men divided the island into North and South and set up a distillery. They do not remember if sex is in the picture because it gets sort of foggy after the first few liters of coconut whiskey. But they're satisfied, because at least the English aren't having any fun.
